On US Armed Intrusion in Pakistan
The National Executive of the CPI views with serious concern the repeated armed intrusion of American and NATO forces in Pakistan as violation of the sovereignty of Pakistan. In the name of destroying the Taliban hideouts, the American and NATO forces have conducted several air and missile attacks inside Pakistan resulting in deaths of many innocent people including children.
The Bush administration is shamelessly justifying these intrusions in the name of war against world terrorism. US imperialists have no right to violate the sovereignty of any country.
The National Executive of CPI believes that such American intrusions are only strengthening the forces of religious extremism and jeopardizing the process of transformation from military to civilian rule in Pakistan
With growing terrorism in Pakistan itself, the new democratic government should adopt a comprehensive policy to root out the menace that also make intrusion in neighbouring countries including India.
The NE of the CPI extends solidarity with the people of Pakistan and anti-imperialist forces there who are fighting against forces of religious extremism and rightly opposing the American intrusions.
